About Wadmore

Built from deep expertise in assessment.

Across years of large-scale assessment, one question kept returning:

The assessment tells us where they rank. But it never tells us what to do next.

Our mission

Wadmore exists to illuminate.

Our aim is not to predict outcomes, but to deliver cognitive profiling that supports better decisions.

Most cognitive assessments exist to sort. They measure a person, place them on a distribution and describe the category. The output is a position relative to others.

Wadmore's output is a specific reading of one person's cognitive performance across eight domains and twelve developmental bands: what they did well, where they are still building, and how they approached different kinds of tasks. That lets the people around them make better decisions about what to do next.

Every profile includes research-grounded strategies, linked to over 50 peer-reviewed sources across cognitive science and learning research. For support and extension.

Our Story

Why Wadmore exists

Wadmore was built by people who have spent their careers in educational assessment, including large international testing programmes. That work showed both the power and the limits of traditional assessment. Wadmore exists to change who this evidence reaches: cognitive insight that has lived behind clinical waitlists, made accessible to families, schools and young people, with the measurement discipline intact.

One question kept emerging: what if we could make cognitive performance visible? Traditional assessments produce percentile ranks. Useful for comparison, but limited for development. Teachers would ask: "This student is at the 62nd percentile. Now what?" The assessments had no answer.

Wadmore takes a different approach. Eight independently scored cognitive domains, from abstract reasoning to executive functioning to metacognition, measured with adaptive, IRT-based assessment. Every measurement claim passes psychometric review before it reaches a family, and every statement in a report traces back to something the person actually did.

The result is a strength-based profile designed for fairness from the start, with every construct indicator connected to peer-reviewed research and practical strategies, on a developmental framework that runs from early childhood to professional expertise.

Our Values

What we believe

These principles guide every decision we make, from assessment design to reporting to how we work with schools and families.

Strength-based

We lead with what's working. Growth areas are opportunities, not deficits.

Research-grounded

Over 50 peer-reviewed sources. Every construct indicator linked to established cognitive science.

Accessible

Cognitive evidence should be readable by the people who need it.

Fair by design

DIF-aware design and inclusive item development built in from the start.

Actionable

Every domain described at every band, connected to developmental strategies, not generic advice.

Privacy-first

Your data belongs to you. Ethical data practices. Transparent governance.
